The Kohler team of dedicated architectural professionals combines a wide variety of experience and training with a strong commitment to the highest standards of customer service. KAA’s expertise and creativity is enhanced by founder Roger Kohler’s community leadership and knowledge and understanding of community standards and values. His multi-lingual staff is fluent in Chinese, Hindi, German, and French.

Building on experience gained from working with recognized local architects, Roger Kohler opened his own office in 1981 specializing in residential architecture. As his reputation grew, the firm’s practice expanded to include both single and multi-family residential and commercial architecture with a number of signature projects in the area including close to 500 homes, including 200 in Palo Alto alone, and numerous remodeling projects. Roger is a local success story. A Palo Altan since his youth and graduate of Palo Alto schools, he attended the University of Oregon where he received a Bachelor of Architecture degree. He is licensed to practice in both California and Oregon, and active in his profession — he is a Member of the American Institute of Architects and certified by the National Council of Architects Registration Board (NCARB). KAA is a family business with strong community ties. Roger’s son, Matthew, is part of the firm; his wife Debbie is an antique dealer, and his daughter, Heather, a recent Chico State graduate, often assists in the office. Roger is an active member of the community, with long service on the Palo Alto Historic Resources Board and work on key City committees. He is a strong supporter of both junior and senior high school sports programs, and has been a youth coach for basketball and football. Roger’s creativity goes beyond architecture — he is also a photographer and artist. JEFF KUO Architect	… with KAA since 1990
Jeff Kuo is a licensed architect and a talented designer with wide experience designing for builders and supervising projects for the firm. Jeff is a major contributor to projects, from concept through final construction drawings. As a designer, Jeff makes use of the concepts of Feng Shui. He is married with two young children. ADITI MUKHERJEE	… with KAA since 1996
Aditi Mukherjee has completed many of the steps toward obtaining her California architectural license. She has extensive total project experience, and has significantly contributed to projects from design through final construction drawings. DONNA ZACAMY	… with KAA since 1996
Donna Zacamy wears many hats in the firm including those of office and project manager. Her thoroughness and attention to detail is reflected in all of her work from these management roles to design and producing high quality construction drawings. Her experience with design review is an asset to the firm. Donna is married with three grown daughters and two granddaughters. Uli Dueregger is a strong designer who produces high quality assembly and production drawings, and especially enjoys doing elevations. Her carefully prepared permit packages are a great help to clients in getting timely approvals for their projects. She is married and an avid horsewoman. Apprenticing at his father’s side, Matthew Kohler is already contributing in many ways to the firm while continuing his studies. His work ranges form producing construction drawings to a wide range of support functions that help expedite projects. West Valley College Present
